The 21st century library offers much more than books. People visit online to register for programs, browse the catalog, and borrow e-books and e-audio books. On-site visitors attend programs, use the computers, learn how to code, attend a class, do their homework, and socialize with their neighbors. Libraries are increasingly focused on supporting digital inclusion and promoting community health, from decreasing social isolation to improving nutrition. The old clichés simply don’t apply to today’s libraries: they are community hubs that offer access to knowledge, the tools to create knowledge, and support learning for all.
