Susan Gregurek, Library Director

Susan is Director of Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center in Jarrell, Texas. Following a career in education and training, Susan joined the Library in 2021 and is committed to expand library resources, programs, and activities for the rapidly growing and diverse community of Jarrell. 

Gina Paja, Circulation Clerk

Gina hails from the Philippines by way of coastal California. A lover of travel, adventure, food, and languages, Gina settled in Jarrell following over 20 years in the army. A language buff who speaks multiple languages – including Tagalog and ASL – Gina loves karaoke and spending time with her dog. Gina credits the library with boosting her confidence and independence by learning about a new field and getting to know people in the community. She looks forward to welcoming everyone to the Library. 

Mary Johnson, Peer Support Specialist, Libraries for Health

Mary Johnson works as a mental health peer support specialist for the Libraries for Health Initiative through the St. David’s Foundation and ViaHope. Her primary responsibility at the library is to support patrons in their mental health wellness and provide information about resources. She also helps plan programming. She was born and raised in Southeast Idaho. She is passionate about mental health, good food, and great books. She has lived in Jarrell since 2020 with her husband, daughters and dog.

Melissa Lane, Volunteer Advisor to Library

Melissa recently retired after serving 25 years in public library service at Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin, Illinois. Drawing on her formal education and professional experience, Melissa provides useful insights and suggestions to the board and the Director.
